Week 10 in Te Ara Toru!

Welcome to another fun filled week with lots of learning!

Today in Discovery time, we learnt how to make butter! We had to shake cream for so long, our arms got very sore! Then we found that the cream had turned into whipped cream and then, finally, it turned into butter! There was also buttermilk left over- which we tasted.

We spread the butter on some bread and gobbled it up- it was very tasty!

As part of our new learning, we have been talking about places that are special to us, and sending letters to people that are special to us- today we wrote letters to friends in other classes and posted them in our special junior syndicate post box! It was lots of fun! We are looking forward to getting some postcards arriving from special people and places all over the globe!

A reminder that we are having a shared lunch to farewell Milan next Thursday as he moves into Te Ara Wha- can everyone please bring in a plate of finger food?

Also carrying on with our theme of places that are important to us- we have organised a junior syndicate bus trip for next Friday 15th April to visit places that the children have said are important to them- please read the notice that is sent home today and return permission slip asap.

Enjoy your weekend,

Smiles,

Shena and Bridget.
